The Pre-Kindergarten program offers a child-centered, play-based approach that aims to provide engaging experiences that reflect the developmental needs of all children.
Children who are three or four years of age by Dec. 31 of the application year are eligible for the RVS Pre-Kindergarten Program.
Programs are full for the 2023/24 school year. Applications for the 2024/25 school year are now open and will be accepted until programs are full. Please contact Learning Supports with any questions.

Application and registration
All applications and registrations must be completed online. Paper application forms are no longer available. For assistance with digital registration, please visit your designated school.
Families must apply to attend through SchoolEngage. Those accepted will be notified and offered online registration.
New RVS Families: To apply to register a child for Pre-Kindergarten, please create a new SchoolEngage account.
Current RVS Families: To apply to register a new child for Pre-Kindergarten, login to the PowerSchool Parent/Guardian Portal and access SchoolEngage on the left-hand menu.
Fees
Alberta Education supports pre-Kindergarten through funding provided for children with assessed developmental delays that meet their criteria. Children with no delays may be invited to enjoy play-based programming alongside their peers with identified needs for a fee of $100 per/month where space permits.
